GetRightSideUpDE is a sub-committee of the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition. Our mission is to promote mental well being and suicide awareness to the youth population.

2016 GetRightSideUp “Create a Logo” Instagram Contest

The “Create a Logo” Instagram contest took place throughout January, 2016. Open to all currently enrolled middle and high school students throughout Delaware, applicants were asked to design a new logo promoting youth suicide prevention. In total, we received 108 entries, which predominantly came from the graphic design students at William Penn High School in New Castle, DE. Our grand prize winner, receiving a $500 gift card, was Grace Duncan. Grace is a senior at John Dickinson High School in Wilmington, DE. Second place went to Trish Vo from William Penn. Trish will receive a $250 gift card. Our third place winner, receiving a $100 gift card, was Denise Ruiz who is also from William Penn. This logo contest was funded by a grant awarded to the Mental Health Association in Delaware from the United Healthcare Community Plan of Delaware.

            GetRightSideUp is the youth sub-committee of the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition supported and funded by Project SAFETY, the federal Garrett Lee Smith Grant, provided by the Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health Services. Our mission is to promote mental well-being and suicide awareness to the youth population. Our aim is to play an active part in suicide prevention.
